Cubase Template

Here you go, I have spent the last few days working on this template. If I get time I will explain more. This Template is pretty close to Maschine in how it functions within cubase as a MIDI controller.

Everything is labeled in the controller editor and in cubase as well

I do not know what the NCC file is vs the NCM3 so I just exported and saved both. You will need to import the cubase file within cubase.

After about 5 minutes you should understand what is going on with the mappings I made. I am still adding mappings but these were the most logical to me as of now. In any case it is a good starting point for those who are interested in having WAY more control inside Cubase 9.5

 

Thanks for the effort, I will try them out, when I can and report back (though I'm not sure, if I can load it, as I have a MK1). If I remember correctly, .ncc is the entire configuration file, i.e. all your templates, whereas .ncm3 is just the Cubase template for the MK3. To make it available for MK1 & MK2 owners you might have to save it as .ncm or ncm2, respectively.

You needto import the maschine files into the controller editor.
Then open Cubase and import the key commands in the generic remote

 

Thanks for this. Before I used this template it was quite painful using maschine inside of Cubase.

Would it be possible (or do I have a setting wrong) to change the way they knobs act?
When I turn a knob it resets the faders In Cubase to zero making it impossible to increase or decrease by small increments without taking note of the fader display info.

Mine does not do that. It moves in increments. You might need to play with the knobs in your editor. Change some settings. I only set it up for tracks 1-8 also. Theoretically you could add more.

 

By default, it is set to absolute.

Change this to Relative or Relative offset.
