Cue Markers to Warp Markers in traktor dj

Has there been any word from ni on making the cue markers in traktor dj freely movable so you can just put them anywhere you want, and also has there been any mention by the traktor team about turning the markers into warp markers so that you could pull and stretch your audio like in ableton?

 

There has not been any work on warp markers in Traktor DJ. If they were implemented it would be in Traktor Pro first and there is no new information on that.

Unfortunately you can still only assign a cue point on a beat or grid marker. I have requested that this is changed so you can apply cues that do not 'snap' to a beat as I play a lot of music that does not have a steady bpm such as funk or indie.

Well knowing that its been brought to their attention is at least some consolation, thank you.

 

I feel like traktor 3 going to be out soon, that's why there's sales, possibly finally having warp markers.

 

I don't use the desktop traktor app I only use traktor dj, I wish they had a separate dev path because if we have to wait til they upgrade everything else and then start to think abou their ipad app it's going to mean getting the app in the first place might have been a waste of time. iOS apps are not developing at the same rate as desktop apps, they ae being updated much faster, hopefully ni wants to take full advantage of the ipad interface and hopefully they want to use its full potential, I don't want a repeat of imaschine!

 

With the track stopped & zoomed all the way in on the waveform so that the beat grid markers are not visible, when you set a cue point, it will set it at the play marker location (or at least very close to it). I set my sample drop cue points this way.
Being able to set them 'exactly' where you want would of course be ideal.

 

I don't know what you guys are talking about. With snap off, and mouse control mode set to vinyl, I can set cues extremely precisely (actually, it looks pretty close to sample-accurate which would mean you have 44100 cue point positions per second).
