    I am mapping

Loop In/Set Cue [Button - Trigger]
    Cue Type [Button - Direct - Value=Grid]
    Store Cue/Loop [Button - Trigger]

to a single push-button on my contoller and contrary to my expectations, when I press said button it always stores a CUE and not a Grid Cue like I instructed Traktor to do in midi controller settings.

    Am I missing something here?

You should use the Track BPM/Set Grid Marker control which does all this in one go :)

OK, but what if I want to use the same procedure for setting and storing a Loop, or a Load marker. Whichever of these I choose, Traktor will always only store a CUE marker.

    Thanks for you input though.

try mapping the hotkeys again and in the exact following order:

Loop In/Set Cue [Button - Trigger]
    Store Cue/Loop [Button - Trigger]
    Cue Type [Button - Direct - Value=Grid]

    and see if that helps!
