I was wondering if somebody could tell me the purpose and use of these connectors, maybe some link to read more about it. As I understand it now; their primary function is for sync'ing stuff, but was wondering if there is some use beyond that. Maybe to start a stand alone groove box like MC-303 ? External DIN MIDI interface ?

    Thank You.

The midi in and out ports are standard midi ports and are used to transfer Midi data ( note events, continuous controller or sync data) to any outboard gear that can receive or transmit it.
