And case the text was missed in the previous pot of mine, the automation shown (using MIDI/CC regions option of Logic's automation) is a seperate volume 'wave' for each oscillator (12 in total) of Metaphysical Function. Should also mention for 'aural context' the BPM is 8 in this instance.

Really a 'take-off' ('Music For Airports' pun intended) on the ideas of Brian Eno (i.e.'Discreet Music' period) of overlapping loops of different lengths to generate harmonic combinations/variations.

One of the reasons I enjoy threads like this is it brings attention to ensembles that have not 'risen to the top' of my 'to do' list of UL downloads (which has to timeshare with my trying to understand enough of 'building' to do my own mods and revisit 'old friends' in a new light). Look forward to spending time with several of those mentioned here including 'Waves' ;-).

The mention of 'The Fly' reminded me of CList's 'Newtonian Bouncer' controller, which in turn reminded me of Eric Cook's '4way_resynth_bouncer_r5'...definitely a 'ripe' area of controller/generator fun (along with one I already mentioned, 'Ball Joy Attack').

The concept of 'Gravity controlled' ...errr controllers is one of those things that attracted me to Reaktor in the first place as a unique tool for alternate explorations of textures.

When Rick first posted the Fly I was stunned. I had never seen, heard, nor thought or anything like that. I thought it was brillant.

Aero is very cool, but I had to use v3 for some reason v2 crashes Reaktor on both my computers  .

I don't remember what that was but I have 'a' version 2 that works (I have a folder full of 'Aero''s including a version that had to be removed from UL). The ones that I have marked as 'not working' in R5 are 'Aero 2' and Aero22B'. The ones I have that work are 'Aero 2' and 'Aero 2 Canudos'. No clear memory what the difference was. Then again I DON'T have a v3, I have a 'Aero 4' and 'Aero 4 Urban' ('Urban' and the previously mentioned 'Canudos' were alternate snaps by the person later to become 'Bernd Keil') so maybe my 2 is your 3 (is everybody thoroughly confused yet?)

What synth/machine would you recommend for those big-yet-minimal drum'n'bass-styled pads?

Was listenin' to some Nerve last night, and ain't having much luck realizing a sound-steal!

have you got a link so i could hear some of their stuff, or maybe you could upload a short extract here.

btw, SoWaDo in the UL can do nice morphing pads, but i have not idea
    if they sound like Nerve.
