Custom Thumbnails for Maschine Groups, Sounds & Projects.

It would be nice to be able to use custom images for our own custom User Projects, Groups, and Sounds.

Currently, we cant do this only because the Maschine Bank Field is not editable and reserved for Expansions and Official content, which makes sense Factory content but not for User content. We end up with all our Groups, Sounds & Projects bunched together under the main Maschine Image/Icon which is not so good for our personal organization.

We can only currently have this ability for Samples, and well... that's not enough!

.... And the integration in the Navigation for personalized HOME Library could be also improved in the user section of the controller displays!! (using empty space in the controller display, own Folders, Changing Background color for Display, etc).

No need to see a name of a Folder twice!
for Example in the Maschine Library, Logo or Folder name in the top left corner, and beneath that a List of the available Sub Types.

Yep, this would be great. Been using the hack that D-One mentioned, but this would be far more convenient.

I wonder why this petition thread has not gained steam? Surely if 100's of users posted here, NI would perhaps take this more seriously. I do have to ask the evil question, "Can you do something like this in MPC 2 software, or other products?"

 

It hasn't gained steam, I suspect, because...

1 - it's not very high on NI's bucket list
2 - NI users are jumping ship for AKAI

You can add custom artwork to expansions on the MPC, yes

 

Note that this is way beyond just pretty thumbnails, it's about having banks for things other than just samples, it would give us a higher level of organization... For example, one could have Projects with a Live Performance main bank another for something else, or divided by genre for multi-genre producers, etc... We can do this with tags but adding a bunch of tags slows navigation and a ton of other disadvantages.

It would also make it much easier to share "kits" or sell them in case of sound designers.

With the release of Maschine Plus, I think this makes even more sense now.

You can have custom thumbnails/main groups for everything on MPCs? Programs, projects, sequences, etc...?
