Since the 2.9.0 update one of my D2's appears to have a problem. When I bring up the BPM on screen and change it the screen stays static in fact it stays at 124.0 whether the loaded track is under or over that and regardless of the master BPM, although it does change the BPM in Traktor Pro2 and any synced decks. I have tried resetting the hardware and re-installing the software but the problem is still there. Is this a faulty unit or a software update issue? Anyone else had the same or similar issues? I have posted a report to support but it is really bugging me.

OK, little update. I loaded a track onto the problem D2 with both decks stopped and then played it. the BPM of the track says 132.41, the master BPM says124.00 and the Traktor screen says 122.14!! I am now very confused with what is happening.

If I try to change the BPM from the D2 it effects the traktor screen on my pc but not the D2 on either the track detail or the master detail. Is this unit defective?

No, I've tried loading mp3s and the BPM shows as 0.00! My beat grid is working for normal tracks and stems. My problem is only on Deck A of one of my D2's. Deck C works fine. The other D2 is fine on decks B and D. We can't be the only ones with an issue, I haven't had a reply to my support ticket yet so has anyone got any suggestions?

Same problem here with my brand new equipment! This happens only on D2 deck A. I hope that NI fixes this soon. It's quite annoying... :(
Or is there already any solution for that issue?

Almost glad it's not just me. I raised this on the 11th August with NI Support and still no answers. I have uploaded 2 videos now showing different issues including the BMP issue, tracks on the beat grid in traktor but off the grid on the D2's and tracks drifting out of sync. I also have to restart sometimes to get the pc to recognise the D2's despite already using them in a session. Some are STEM files some are mp3's. Let's pray there is a new version of Traktor coming soon that solves these issues.

    Hi!

I just plugged all my new devices (2x D2, 1x Z2) to my laptop with an existing Traktor 2.9.0 installation and checked if the mentioned BPM issue would also occur.
But nothing! Everything works perfecly as expected! No BPM issue and no pitchbending problem that I both had on deck A D2 on my desktop installation of Traktor. :)

So there must be something wrong on my desktop PC where I tested my new equipment for the first time. In contrast to that, everything is fine on my laptop! Sorry NI, but this does not seem to be a Traktor software issue! I'm afraid that I'll have to rebuild my old windows installation on my desktop PC...

@Mark: Might be, that there's also something wrong with your PC...?

    Ni Support have told me that there is a major bug with 2.9;

    Bug Tracker for your reference
    • TP-10848
"Master & Deck BPM is frozen (0.000 or 120.00) on S8/D2 display"

And that I should downgrade to 2.8.1 which is the last stable version, which of course means no more Stem files!!!

My issues are sporadic, in that sometimes they happen sometimes they don't, sometime a restart from the start is needed, other times they lose stability while playing. I have noticed that when certain usb items, usb 3 hdd, webcam, are plugged in the D2's don't get recognised by windows.

They are working on it apparently but no dates for a bug fix.

Rooster, whats your laptop? OSX or Windows? I haven't tried with my MacBook yet so I'll give it a go later.

    Hi Mark,

    thanks for that information!
So it seems that I'm just lucky that everything's working fine with Traktor 2.9.0 on my laptop! My desktop and laptop are both on Windows 7 pro 64bit.
But good to know that NI is working on a solution for that issue! Let's wait and see when a new bugfixed version will be released.
Somehow I also have this! Z2 and both D2s sometimes are not recognized by Windows, even if no other USB devices are plugged in. I have to start Traktor once, close it again and replug Z2 and both D2s. Then the recognition works. But his is a minor issue for me...
