d2 Spectrum Wave

Hello everyone
Does anyone know if we have in the future a colorful wave spectrum?, not just the blue...

Currently it is unfortunately not yet possible to change the display waveform. The display is
limited to the blue view.

This is an often-requested feature for the S8, S5 and D2.

When this feature can be implemented is not currently clear yet.
We work on it.

Hopefully this will be fixed sooner than later. I get soooooo much information from the full color spectrum that I don't get from just the blue. So much so that I still look at the laptop which makes the screen less valuable. Come on guys...make this one of the priorities.

 

thats the only reason for me to look at the laptop, because i miss the information in the blue wave form. i need the spec. please hurry up.

 

...that's actually the main reason why i'll sell my D2 again...

 

Great Info.. Would also like to see the colours.
I strongly hope they also fix the "feature" that the waveform scroll on the laptop is stuttering when opening the filebrowser on the D2

You are absolutely correct - these are the most often requested features for our
display controllers (S5/S8/D2) and we get these requests quite often.

We allready have 2 feature request in our database and these functions are beeing
worked on.

• TP-8711 - "Spectrum Waveform on S8/D2/S5"

• TP-8075 - "CSI Overmapping in Controller Manager"

Unfortunatly i cannot tell you when these functions will be added to our display
controllers, because we are not allowed to communicate release dates, new feature
additons or added functions.

But i can assure you that we take these improvement requests very seriously and we
are working on implementing them.

I'd give it until the end of February for a patch to be released that addresses the above and other features.

 

You mean next month we will have spectrum waveform and custom maping for NI display controllers ?
From where do you have this information ?

 

Just a guess, and I imagine given that they usually announce something a little bit after NAMM every year, I'd say it'd be fairly good timing on that front to announce a patch with new features. Also, the F1 took about a year to be unlocked for full customisation after being released, so I also imagine given that it was released in April last year that late February/early March, that'd be just about long enough for a patch to be released to enable this.

No solid evidence, but I have noticed a pattern with things related to Traktor over the last few years, so it's something of an educated guess of sorts.

Edit: Another thing I have noticed is the relatively new "Native Kontrol Standard" for Komplete and Maschine that allows for third-party plugins to work with them. It wouldn't surprise me if this was also introduced to Traktor to allow for third-party plugins to introduce new effects for Traktor, among other things. Again, just a hunch.

 

Kontrol D2 was released at April 2015 but S8 is the same display deck wich was released at October 2014 ( so people wait almost one year and half )
Will be so happy if this patch comes February or March !
