D2s, XDJs, Pioneer 850

Need help with setting up the following as one big piece:

- Two Traktor Kontrol D2s
- Two Pioneer XDJs 1000MK2
- DJM 850 mixer

I need 4 decks working, both D2s and both XDJs as I'm playing back to back with someone who's using XDJs and I prefer to use the D2s.

How can I set this up? Do I need a soundcard?

 

All hooked up to 1 computer? Just use the DJM-850 as your soundcard, 1 deck per channel.

 

D2s hooked up to the computer, XDJs on their own screens - is that possible since no HID mode?

 

Yes, if your friend wants to use the XDJs in standalone mode (not controlling Traktor). Just set the channel input on the mixer to Line instead of USB.

Search YouTube for DJM-900 Traktor tutorials on how to set it up, it's the same for all modern DJMs.

You don't need the sound card in this situation.
just plug the USB to the mixer (DJM 850 is traktor certified)

on the top of the mixer,
set XDJs to Line mode (ie, let your friend uses channel 2,3)
set rest of two channel to USB mode. (so you use these 1,4)
