I'm trying to use Damage for a piece that is in 6/8. Is there no way to change the time signatures of the loops? If not, this is a major drawback. Surely there is a way. Thanks

Nope, this would require loops being recorded at many different time signatures. Usually not feasible.

Sliced loops, as in sliced at every hit, the way Stylus RMX does it, allows for time signature changes.
but Stylus has time signature options right in the GUI.
I suspect Damage just hasn't considered the possibility of adding that option.
Damage loops are sliced. If they weren't sliced then tempo changes would be very limited.

I believe that all of the instruments for the loops are available in the "kits"
(but I might be assuming incorrectly ... I need to explore it more)
and you could probably create your own part by either playing it in or pencil in piano roll view.

    See this Overview Video

and at about 2:18 you'll see "Loop Modifier" which mentions recomposing a loop. I suspect you might be able to take a loop you like and modify it to work in any meter you want, but once again, I'm just assuming. I haven't done it yet.

Also see this video: Specifically about drag'n'drop the midi data to your host sequencer
You can probably get a lot done with that.
