There is a group buy going on at Dan Dean for Kontakt orchestral libraires:

    http://www.dandeanpro.com/group_buy/

Does anybody here have any experience with these?

And why is "Dan Dean Solo Strings Advanced" listed for "Kontakt Player", whereas the rest of the libraries is for "Kontakt 4"? Surely I should be able to use them all with a full Kontakt license?

Not familiar with them. If the first is Kontakt player it means it runs on the free version of Kontakt whereas the others will only run with the full version of Kontakt

I looked at the Dan Dean site. Unless I am missing something, he doesn't have any sound demos anywhere. Very strange.

Oooops. I found the demos for Advanced Strings. I don't like 'em very much, but that's just my taste.

I haven't got any of Dan Dean's orchestral stuff but I do have his Bass Collection which is pretty good. It could be worth a look and listen.

there are much better libraries out there. no serious round robin makes it sound artificial. these were good samples 10 years ago :)

and they will never have 900 people in dandeanpro groupbuy. so there are better ways to invest $150 or even $130 :)
