DAW Control absolut ungenügend

HI ,
wo bitteschön ist die Möglichkeit bei dem Komplete Kontrol mk2 bei dem DAW Bedienfeld wieder ganz zum Anfang zu springen??
Früher gab es die Möglichkeit wenigstens shift+play zu drücken und die DAW ist wieder zum Anfang gesprungen, jetzt merkt der Controller sich den letzten Startpunkt und wenn man dann stop ein 2tes mal drückt springt es zu dem jeweiligen Startpunkt oder macht nichts !!
Jedes billig Midikeyboard mit DAW Control hat diese Tasten ...... Sorry aber da habe ich kein Verständnis für bei so hochpreisigen Geräten .....da hat die Entwicklungsabteilung ja wieder ganze Arbeit geleistet und an 2 Tasten gespart....Platz ist ja genug vorhanden!!

 

Ich hätte folgende Vorschläge :

Shift+play = Zum Anfang des Projektes
Shift+LOOP= zurückspulen
Shift+TEMPO=vorspulen

Shift+QUANTIZE= ZOOM -
SHIFT+AUTO= ZOOM +

where please is the possibility to jump back to the beginning with the Komplete Kontrol mk2 at the DAW control panel ??
In the past there was the possibility to press at least shift + play and the DAW jumped back to the beginning, now the controller remembers the last starting point and if you then press stop a second time it jumps to the respective starting point or does nothing !!

Cubase 11 and Windows 11

 

Have you tried using the Cubase Remote Device configuration for the Mk2, yet? - It allows you to override some of the default actions for the buttons. I wish it allowed more, but it's better than nothing I guess. So for example you could change the Undo and Shift-Undo buttons to go to the left and right locators.




p.s. Generally I'm also amongst those users who aren't totally happy about the way Komplete Kontrol Mk2 works as a midi controller. Maschine Mk2 and other NI controllers configurable via the Controller Editor are quite a bit more flexible for custom configurations, because almost all of the controls can send midi messages, and quite a few can receive midi messages, too.

But I also have to admit that some of the stuff possible on Komplete Kontrol Mk2 when pushing the Mixer button is pretty impressive.

NI Controllers are frustratingly close to being truly great, but it seems for each of them development was stopped just a little short of such total greatness. In addition to Komplete Kontrol Mk2, I have Maschine Mk2, Maschine Jam, Traktor Kontrol X1 and S2, and have used them all with Cubase as Generic Remote controllers).

But to be fair, I also have to say, that Cubase is also frustratingly close to great for remote control, but development was also stopped short of achieving true greatness.

I had already thought about the existing keys differently to routes. I need Undo but I could actually reconfigure the Redo button, Shift + Redo.
