DAW crashes when closing plugin window

This is my first post in this community (glad to be here) so I hope this is the right place for a post like this; if not, if one of you could kindly point me in the direction of a better technical support place that would be lovely!

Right now I'm running into the issue of my DAW crashing each time I try to close the plugin window for one of my new Native Instrument plugins. It is important to note that this issue is not happening with any of my other plugins nor with my older Native Instrument plugins.
Here are the deets:

DAW: Ableton Live 11
Hardware: Macbook Pro (16-insh, 2019) [2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 processor, 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 Memory]
OS: macOS Big Sur 11.3
I'm up to date on everything, no further updates on any software to be found.

I just upgraded my Komplete 10 Ultimate to Komplete 13 Ultimate today and downloaded/installed all my new NI toys via the Native Access application. Everything seemed to be great, and everything is, except for this one silly issue.

To conserve hard drive storage space I had downloaded all my Komplete 10 Ultimate plugins to an external Seagate Backup Plus 3TB external hard drive and have been using all my plugins on here for many years – happily might I add! Today I decided that I would install my freshly upgraded copy of Komplete 13 to this same hard drive, using the exact same methods as before.

So, therein lies the mystery of the crashing DAW.

An example of the strangeness of the issue:
FM8 is a plugin I already had from Komplete 10. When I load it up in Ableton Live 11, the plugin window pops up, I'm able to play it with vigor, have a great time, and am able to close the plugin window when I want it to go away. No crash.
Massive X is a new plugin that I was able to score today with my purchase of Komplete 13 Ultimate. I load it up, plugin window pops up, I am also able to play this baddie with vigor; but once I decide that I want to close the plugin window by either hitting the 'x' in the upper left hand corner or click Ableton's wrench icon down in the plugin chain area it crashes the entire DAW.

I have restarted my computer too, yes.

This is bothersome and confusing to me and I would just like everything to work as it should.

If you can help me, please, that would be fantastic, and thank you in advance.

So it's only Massive X crashing, if I get it right.
First of all, go to your Mac's system preferences, under security and privacy, give Ableton Live Full Disk Access. Then if crashes still occur, follow the steps in that article (even though the title indicates different symptoms, it still can help) : Some Presets are Missing in MASSIVE X
