hey all , just got my ddj t1

    just had a few questions,

    1. im confused as to which traktor version i have because i see so many "versions" and dont know which one i have.. is it traktor scratch pro? traktor pro? etc.?

    2. How the hell do i get my free upgrade from traktor to traktor 2? on the box of the ddj t1 it tells me to visit this website, i did, and it just me a link to download just the mappings? am i missing something, or are pioneer and NI just not good at explaining things? (so hard to intsall a damn software)

    3. I dont use beat sync or whatever its called, i just beat match with the tempo thing, however i noticed that if i have a song of bpm 132, and want to change to 134, it wont let me change it to 134 on the dot, wtf. it will change to 133.9 or 134.1 wtf is wrong with that?

    need some help guys! thanks

I’m really suprised no one bothers to help people in these forums.

I’ve asked several questions just to get ignored. I mean a ‘I don’t know” is better than nothing at all.

anyway, yes it can be confusing. traktor has different versions, all leading up tp the regular TSP2.
all the different programs are basically the same program, but tunes to fit whatever controller you purchased.
I do believe NI is offering a free upgrade to TSP2 with the purchase of some of their equipment, the difference being able to control time code vinyl and cds.

    Hi buddy

Just read your post the version you have is the pioneer version. Has some features missing to be honest its like traktor duo but with 4 decks. To get your copy of traktor pioneer edition 2. Register your software in the registration section and send native instruments an email requesting your traktor 2 key. Beware though I have reverted to the first version due to sound issues with the 2 nd version on the effects. The pioneer version 2 does not have the sample decks on just really the new colour scheme. To get the sample decks you need to upgrade to the pro 2 which because you have a manufactures addition wil cost you £139 unless you buy an x1 before the end of September then you get traktor pro 2 for free.
I hope this makes sense and helps you out

    Hi JJomusic

    1) its shipped with a special pioneer edition. Its something between the LE and the Pro but not with all functions of the Pro Release. You may buy upgrade and use the DDJ-T1 with the ProVersion. Thats what i do.

    2) register and activate your pioneer edition 1.x and send an email to their support. So far i am informed the upgrade to the 2.0 pioneer edition is free when you ask their support ,but not open visible as download.

    3) yeah.. i agree .. thats a bit annoying. did not invested time to find a workaround for it an i just live with it.. i also like would see that maybe optionally snapping to a kind of 0.1% BPM raster.
