First of all i want to say hello to everyone, i'm excited of how i'm upgrading my systems to go and dj live. Until then i will try my best to have a perfect set.

So, I just mapped some actions in my Traktor Scratch PRO with my Behrniger DDM4000 (midi), and i can not make LEDS work. I tried everything, but nothing works. For example, for the "low kill" i mapped the input and output, the sound works, but not the led.

My other ISSUE is my HEADPHONES. I cannot make them work with the midi set. I can only listen master. How do i have to configurate it?

    SET:

    - Audio 8
    - MacBook Aluminum Snow Leopard 10.6
    - Behrninger DDM4000
    - Hercules MKII (PLAY PAUSE etc)

    THANKS !
    :D

Welcome to the Native Instrument forums.
You need to assign the corresponding CC of the output manually.

Thanks Ali, but how can i know which is the exact CC, i did it before with LEARN. ( when i use learn it says something like "Note F#-1 (ch 10)", is it wrong?

    (i use chanel 10).

    THANKS !

there's a list of CC commands to & from the DDM that came with it, some of it's output CC's do not correspond to the exact same input CC for any given button/led, as of course some buttons do not light up.
Also, try a different channel (or omni) to see if that helps.

regarding the headphone problem, did you try turning the mix dial to the left on your mixer (the one below your headphone volume)?

    yeah that's the bezzler!

came in very handy for midi programming and preventing conflicting messages to and from my herc steel.

I'm looking at one of these mixers now as a backup, though frankly I'm still more inclined to source a used Vestax PMC Pro or an Audio Innovate AEM.

Yeah, they look pretty impressive features wise, equivalent to a djm-800 but at a fraction of the cost. Had a look at one and it seemed a bit flimsy though.

My first mixer was a Behringer. Died very quickly.

I will try to fix the leds issue, later !

The LED issue cannot be fixed as this is a bug. When you send a CC to the LEDs they will only light up short time and go off again. This was discovered in another forum.

I'm using 4 decks and they work, they do not turn off. It's perfect. You have to map it manually with CC's.

    Thanks !

most likely explanation, a midi conflict.

a midi command makes the light come on.
later on, a conflicting midi command tells the LED to turn off.
try midiox to see which command makes it extinguish.
only ever had similar problems with my DDM before i sorted out midi channels and CC conflicts, often with other midi devices.

The DDM Kill button LEDs seem to NOT respond if any of the channels are set to Audio.

If all channels are set to midi, then the LEDs work fine and as expected.

Im not entirerly sure about trance alba's statement because I have my DDM set to midi channel 13 and there is no conflict with that midi channel in my setup. And I experience this issue.

Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with this?
