Hi Guys, when using the DDM4000 mixer as a midi controller for scratch pro, is it possible to use ch 3 & 4 as tempo controls for decks 1 & 2 in the traktor software? or is there another way to control the tempo?

Also when using the mixer to control scratch can you still use ch 3 & 4 for cdj's or vinyl decks?

Selling my DDM4000 as bought the S4 but the guy who is buying is asking the question.

Your answers will be a great help as I've never used the mixer as a midi controller, I had the X1, cdjs and audio 8!

    Thanks for any help

    Kenny

    Hey,

You can map the volume sliders to tempo if you'd like. It's quite simple to do.

If you use a channel for MIDI, any audio plugged into that channel will play through without being affected by the volume/eq knobs.

When you are in the ddm midi menu you can choose to mute the channel if you do not want the audio passing through while you use it for MIDI.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

    Cheers
