I am trying to figure out how to map the DDM4000 as a midi controller with TSP on my macbook while running two CDJ1000MK3s with control cds. I'm doing this so I can record an internal mix from Traktor while controlling everything externally. It will be SICK!

Any pointers, advice, or links to midi map downloads for my situation?

What is the best way to map this beast? I am reading the instructions that came with the DDM4000 right now.

    Awesome,

I am a little confused though. So to have my DDM4000 as a midi controller while also running CDJ1000s with control cds to TSP, what cables need to be hooked up? The audio 8 has a usb going to my laptop, do I need to have a midi to usb cable going to my laptob as well? How do I do this?

Use the Midi Port on the Audio8 to connect the DDM per midi cable ;-)

Connect the CDJs with the multicore cables like the diagram in the manual of Traktor

ptz if you have a sound card with extra inputs(i.e. Audio 8), then you record on traktors "external"

and you set its input for the input you hooked up your record line to on the sound card.

If you dont have a sound card, then you DDM4000 becomes a full midi surface.

You have to go into the midi setting in your user option on the DDM4000 and change all the channels, and anything else you want to use to control things in traktor over to midi.

I don't know if the pioneer cdj350 is midi capable, but if it is you need to send those usbs to you computer, and theoretically you could use the buttons on the cdjs for play/pause, although I don't know about mapping the platter for internal use in traktor, I doubt thats possible.

So if you don't have an external sound card at all, and your not using time-code (traktor pro, not traktor scratch pro) then the cdj350's are going to have very little use, if at all.

It would probably be easiest to use the channel sections on the DDM for traktors internal mixer, and use a combination of midi enabled crossfader, and sampler buttons for everything else in traktor pro.
