    On the successor of s4 there should be an output + volume knob for monitors. It's like a must of all mixers out there.

    The S2 has this already, so I would assume the S4 successor will have it too.

    Do you mean the dedicated Booth Output and gain knob on the back of the S2? I'm not sure how useful this is once it's set up - as once cables are plugged into the back of the S2/S4 it gets very fiddly to use those short depth knobs.

    I'd be happy for the Main/Booth switch to be on the back of the unit, but maybe another knob on the front of the S4 could be used for Booth Level?

    Exactly, the Booth level should be in the front, next to the Cue Level.
