Denon DJ SC-5000 support

I did not say there was no demand.
But will it bring **** loads of cash to NI?

The XDJ-1000MK2 will probably not be on the market for long enough for tons of Traktor users to buy it.
Existing users most likely have already settled elsewhere.

 

As far as I know Denon just sent all needed information for implementing PRIME series to NI. I really hope that NI will integrate the HID support soon. And I hope it is not a political thing. I would also raise up a crowdfunding for the implementation. Or I would accept an increase of TRAKTOR pricing for having more supported device. TRAKTOR has been developed and optimized for years. Engine will not be able to force that way I think. So all thumbs up for NI to make us Denon PRIME users happy

 

Where did you read this information?

Comparing with Virtual DJ : those developers have received a Denon SDK a few months ago, but they have reported the SDK is not working and Denon doesn't seems to be very responsive to fix it.

 

I have to correct myself a little: Denon had send the not working SDK more than 9 months ago.

Last week they finally helped VDJ with this problem and got it working. VDJ expects to have support for Denon Prime series within 1 month.

I wish NI would post teaser photos like this: VDJ screen on Denon SC5000 .....

 

Wow, that is so cool how they integrated DENON DJ Prime Support for VDJ. As far as I see you really could reproduce the whole information needed from TRAKTOR to the Touch Displays of the Prime Series. Please NI, do that!

Someone had success with X1800 + SC5000m + Traktor 3 ???
For me SC5000 not recognized in computer mode, neither in DVS o USB mode (x1800).

 

Did you use the TSI by Noise Riser to Midimap the SC5000s ?
X1800 should be no problem at all; as long as you have the driver installed you can use it as your soundcard voor Traktor.

 

now denon has the best bpm algorythm with engine 1.5 theres no point in using traktor with the denons the partys over.

 

Maybe for you. For others there are still enough reasons for wanting HID support for Traktor.
3 years .... and still waiting :-(

 

I'd still be interested (rather for the 6000s, now) as I still use Traktor for DVS and would love to sync between DVS and media players.
Rumor has it Denon DJ is working on Ableton Link for the players. That would probably solve my problem.

Hybrid mode might make a comeback. I would keep an eye out for that since it was implemented on the rane 12 mk11.
I like my sc5000m so far but I wish it could beatgrid edit on the player. Might trade it in for the sc6000m so it could match my x1850

Traktor 3 works surprisingly well on my 2011 mbp. Hopefully it it gets implemented before my laptop finally dies of old age lol

 

Would be stupid not not have that on the M.

 

But the rane12 so damn sexy, probably heavy as fk but still sexy

Is the new Rane 12 MK2 integration in Trraktor 3.4 beta based on Hybrid mode or HID ???
At least it is great to see some InMusic hardware getting Traktor support. I still hope the Prime series will be next.

Traktor 3.4 comes with a 2 deck TSI for the Twelve MK2.

 

Now after seeing vdj and Serato getting hid support I’m thinking that hybrid mode for the prime series is becoming less likely.

I tried timecode with my 5000m and found out that in absolute mode you can use the decks hotcues (not traktor’s though). If you tagged the timecode signal with the same bpm as the track you wanna play you can use the auto looping, slicer and stuff. However this method is not practical.

 

If there's proper HID support, I can definitely live without hybrid mode (which was a work-around back then on the 3700s).
