Denon LC6000 - Traktor must support this last chance saloon

Imagine having these either side of any mixer with an integral sound card ie, all the best pioneer mixers.

my choice right now would be the djm s9 with 2 x LC6000 - quite the portable rig with pro everything.

these are like the jog wheel thats been missing from the traktor line since for ever. Its an absolute gift from denon!!

Traktor should support the whole Denon Prime line to the same extend as the Pioneer gear.
Support for the LC6000 would be a nice start :)

    Yep. 100%
Please NI / Traktor: PLEASE make this work. Two of these with any modern 4 channel mixer would make a great rig for the way I play.
Seriously. Please. Start supporting other controllers. TP3 is my fav software. by far. Please make it easy on me to use that software with the hardware i prefer.

Yea, I would like Traktor to support denon gear also.

You know, Traktor doesn’t need to change much cause a lot of the features in other software can be mimicked in Traktor and rebranded as ‘new features’.

The quick hit for Traktor would be the rebranding of existing features to conform to people’s illusions of new features and support for flagship products.

there will be no new traktor units unless they support the hardware people want to use, new dj's are driven by what they see others using and what idiots on youtube/ other websites tell them to use.

people pushing traktor these days are few and far between, if only someone at NI had some vision, its to late though the horse has dies of old age and the bolt rusted into the earth. Good Job N.I.

What would you be doing with your dream setup when you get it?

Most of my high end gear will be stuck at home and although I have all this crap, ad-hoc laws and policies constrained my djing outside of my home to an iPad and a pair of soundboks. (Only Bluetooth battery powered speakers allowed now).

Hope things change soon but I don’t think it will.

Not to sound like a Debbie downer but how does this benefits NI? I would understand if NI didn't make DJ Gear. Only just the software. Denon them self don't even support the LC6000 with their Desktop Engine software, unless you buy at least one Denon DJ SC6000 or a Prime 4 and Denon DJ X1850. If you are willing to spend that much money there shouldn't be a need for another software. That's my reasoning for not buying any of the Denon series DJ gear. Checked them out and there are really good product but not so good DJ software Plus I am not a fan of all in one unit.
Just my opinion. I understand the 3 DJ software that support these, Serato DJ, Virtual DJ and DJay Pro none of them make DJ hardware. Now what we need is for NI to make some thing like these for Traktor Pro 4. I did like J1 idea I think it was called and the DECK KONTROL PRO and MIX KONTROL PRO ideas. Now let see what NI does. No news since the message from Pedram on Oct 25.

I know how to make it work, but I don’t have LC6000 to build the mapping on it.

There is an official documentation for the MIDI mapping but its not worth if the display is not getting supported.
I also see this device some overpriced compared to Rane Twelve MK2. But it depends on your requirement, more controller or more turntable:)

And I agree to 100% with Demus. There is no reason for NI to support it. Even that Pioneer hardware is supported the price from Traktor Pro is too low to provide such a feature.

All other software supporting LC 6000 is subscription based and the company’s getting much more money out of it.

Just some days after my last posting I see that LC 6000 was slipping in a competitive price range. Don't know if its only related to Black Friday but under 500 EUR is really an amazing price and I am considering to buy.

Of course I would miss to use my beloved Traktor Pro software so the question would be if someone already figured out how to use LC 6000 with Traktor Pro. For the control MIDI mappings it should not be a big issue but what about bringing the display to live. In the MIDI documentation is written that this can be done via sysex messages but now word where we can get the documentation for it.

Anyone already got at this point ?

Here’s some info to give you an idea of sysex.

    https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-do-i-send-and-receive-sysex-on-pc-or-mac/#

Traktor already sends the info needed for screens and you can modify it to use on the lc6000 but it is a lot of work.

I have the 5000m and I’m gonna give it a shot to see what I can get on the main screen. I think I can get as far as getting track names or at least a logo at least instead of the pc mode default message. Hopefully it can be done without a medium.

    Edit

Just found out to get stuff on the main screen you need to go through denon. Then a firmware update is needed.

The jog screen is open to do things with though but I don’t have a jog screen on my unit.

I know about sysex and how it works. I can write you an app to control the jog screen from the lc6000 but I need the details on the sysex messages Denon is using. I already contacted the support. Lets see if Denon will give more details.
