So I decided I want to learn to scratch... to add to DnB sets + for fun.

I am looking at a new controller/deck for use with Traktor. A few questions.... Do the S3700/S3900 or CDJ 900 work in midi mode with traktor not timecode - for scratching, how is it?

Can any of these options be mapped to controll/ switch between more than one deck... ideally for me to have one to switch between controlling a main deck and dedicated scratching deck....

the devon s3900 and dns 3700 have full midi capabilities and can be mapped accordingly. the cdj 900 has HID interface. if you do not plan on using timecode i would opt. for the cdj 900.

I'm using the dn-s 3700 with time code and hybrid mode, and there is a cool mapping released. works perfectly with tsp 2. SCRATCH monsters

I think I'd go for the SC3900 with the closest feel of a real turntable.

Does the s3700 still work in hybrid mode? Read something about NI changing from 2.0 to 2.5 hz. or something for timecode/midi something not sure...

If you owned traktor before version 2 the 3700 hybrid mode can be used, if you bought traktor recently then it won't. You would have to use a timecode cd, so no midi.
3900 supports the new 2.5 khz fine.
I've upgraded from 3700's to 3900's, they are fantastic.

I still use the old time code cds (2.0) with TSP 2 so the 3700 Hybrid might still work but I would test it. The 3900 look but I use I have the 900 which at the moment are only supported in stahdard HID not Advanced which means there's no read out on the screen

3700 works in Hybrid mode with timecode CD's? All of the midi functions work mapped to traktor?

Things like loops, cue points... can use traktor to control (traktor loops, cues, etc..)?
