It's using DFD, I been in the DAW/VSTi game a long time and this by far the worst, most not ready for prime time waste of money I have ever seen, right out of the box it won't even play a simple drum beat without erratic, random dropouts on various notes, regardless of the kit I use. I have a gig of RAM, most other stuff works fine, but wow, this is a super hack of a piece of crap. It's even crashed on me while loading a kit while playing (ought not be a big deal in 2007 with SX3) and right out of the box it was giving me some campy "the outputs configured in the loaded multi differ from the current output configuration" error. How about a little quality control? I've used Kompakt stuff before and this is just...broken.

DFH2 is a pretty old product and hasn't been updated in a couple of years, since it was superceded by other products. Maybe you are running it on a newer machine that is newer than the specs for which it was designed.

I don't know whether Toontrack offers an upgrade path to their latest products, but you could ask them.

You could also access the DFH2 library from within Kontakt 2, if you own that. Kontakt 2 *has* been updated regularly, and in my experience is a lot more efficient (and bug-free) than the last version of the Kompakt Player that shipped with DFH2.
