just to be anal, and becaus you do come across as someone that knows what they are talking about. :) lol

FL demo is free, and you can direct browse, and being maschine is approximately a 600 dollar product, give or take where you get it from. I think that they should provide that to. I did buy FL studio years ago, love the lifetime free updates on the software, mabey native can take a hint from that ;)

Or at least let me drag and drop my filed from the FL studio browser to the maschine plugin, at least let me get that.

I wonder how people will use battery in maschine. Its gonna be alot of Redundant fun, but thats what we want right?

Ok lol, just to be clear, are you saying flstudio let's you browse in a different way than the maschine disc tab does? They both have file browsers that let you browse what is on your disc. What we are talking about is to have those folders show up on the maschine controller.

I agree with you on the drag from host browser to maschine plugin too, even though I don't use the plugin.

We are saying the same thing here mostly, but don't agree fl browser does anything the disc tab in maschine doesn't do in regards to letting us access our hard drive folders. Folks just want those folders to show on the controller screen. Which is a valise request.

It's all good yo, we all just want this tool to keep growing.

yes we are saying the same thing. The thing is with the FL studio browser is that it previews files alot quicker then my favorites folder in maschine. Also in FL studio, you have one click browsing. I know its a small detail. but I love that. Feels a lot faster.

I don't want to go into windows settings and change everything into one click.

Saint, do you think native instruments will really impliment favorite folder browsing, or leave us hanging?

I've got a 100gb sample library perfectly organized in folders and have no time to deal with maschine's crappy browser/tagging system. I love this product but the browser and import scheme is really frustrating. All I wanna do is browse and do in place audition from disk, it's not that hard.

    Thanks!

It makes sense. Maschine is all about the hardware/workflow paradigm so you should be able to browse and preview samples on your hd from the hardware. There's far too many samples for me to go through and tag and categorise all of them. That's the kinda stuff i want to get away from with maschine lol.

i was just about to start a new thread about this! this is very tedious to have to keep doing this to the library. im looking at the sounds in disk, i should be able to scroll to the folder, hit a button, open that folder, audition a sound or open the folder inside of that folder clap, snare, what ever! all this should be done after i add the library in the preferences user path!

Yes, the file organization should be better and have an option to create a folder and put all your custom samples in it or like i suggested in a diff thread simply drag and drop the .wav files into the created directory.

The current setup requires a lot of prep (housekeeping indeed haha!) to make the workflow flawless.

It would be so NICE if MASCHINE translated folder structure like this -

    1st level folder = BANK
    2nd level folder = TYPE
3rd level folder = SUB TYPE
    4th level folder = ignored

And a nice little pop-up screen on IMPORT to confirm what it is planning to name things and where you can make last minute changes.

    YOU LIKE?
