    Hello,
Is it possible to disable the mute and/or solo function for a group or sound?

I've routed my S4 thru a group in maschine, but when I solo a kick in maschine it also mutes the group where the s4 is routed thru. I also route all of my maschine sounds/groups to one group for EQ/filter/effects.
But when I solo the kick, the group with the EQ/filter/effects is also muted, so the kick is also muted. :(
Maybe it's a nice feature to create a list of group and sounds that would react and another list that does not.

A second idea of mine is to set the starting point of the dB of all sounds and groups in the preferences.
When I begin an empty project allmost all sounds are too loud so I have to adjust all sounds or groups.
It would be a real time saver if I could set it all at -6dB or -12dB so I only have to fine tune the sound a little bit

    Greets,

    Thijs

I have never liked (and, at times, hated) the way soloing works in MASCHINE: it doesn't obey audio routing as might be expected (with certain routings, you can get silence when soloing a Sound/Group because it mutes the target, as described here) and it unmutes all other elements regardless of their state before soloing. Very annoying and very counter-productive for performance in particular.

I've filed several suggestions of my own with NI for improving the soloing functionality, but nothing yet, so workarounds it has been for me...

One way I use to get around some of this is to use the cue output and enable cue on the Sounds I don't want to be affected. Not sure without trying it whether it will work for you, but I think it should. When I get home, I'll provide more details if you want/need them.

As for the levels preference, I've nothing against that (Kontakt has it, for example), though you can get round this by simply using a default project that open when you select "New project" and when opening MASCHINE. If you haven't done this, I recommend spending a little time and setting a project up how you want it and setting it to be the default.

I thought of that last thing, and I've made some templates the last months. But every time I add a new group, the dB levels are all 16 on zero. I know I can change the group level but that is not how I want to play.
I would also suggest a min and max on the dB levels (on groups for me, so I can sweep the rotary knob without having to worry that it goes to loud)

Yeah, that can be a pain. The Sound-level I/O are stored with th Group, so the settings saved with the Group you load are loaded. This is currently a "hot topic" with DAW users especially, as it pretty much ruins a lot of DAW-based workflows and users have been waiting for a LONG time for it to be fixed (even to the extent it worked in 1.x). Hopefully this will be sorted soon and it will be good for standalone and plugin users.

CTRL+A in the mixer will do the trick for now to select all sounds or all groups, but it would be nicer to do this without a mouse.

this feature would also be nice for all parameters. Just set a min and max and play live!
