Discovery Series India Sitar drone start/stop

    Hi all,

    Using Discovery Series India Sitar, how do I record the drone starting & stopping within a MIDI sequence? Is this possible? So far I've only worked how to get it to start when my DAW playback starts or by manually pressing the play button on the India interface but I can't work out how to record it starting/stopping within my song.

    Hello,

    you could achieve this in a number of ways:
    • record automation in your host (the start/stop button is already assigned to an host automation ID)
    • automate the start/stop button with a MIDI controller and record MIDI data (I'd then turn off event chasing for this MIDI CC in your host)
    • use the "Tanpura.nki" instrument on a separate MIDI track and simply record the notes
