Discussion starter, why on earth is anyone using timecode?

Maybe the question should be:

What's the point of using timecode AND sync?

Either use Traktor's sync/grid features to beatmatch, OR use timecode to beatmatch. I've never understood the need to use both.

Looking sexy is a non-argument IMO, sorry.

This is a non-argument dude. When are we gonna get away from this "one or the other" way of thinking.
We have already established that 'Sync' leaves the DJ to concentrate on other features. It doesnt mean that you have to always use Sync with timecode. It means you can use it when applicable. Its an option.
And lets face it if your manual mixing is spot on , hitting sync is just another feature like looping and a very handy one.
