    I'm a complete Digital DJ novice and I'm ready to make the switch... What exactly do I need to get going as far a equipment wise... I have a Mac and I'm interested in Traktor Pro... What equipment do I need? I guess a midi mixing consol and sound card... What exactly does the sound card do? Sorry that these ae dumb questions.

    If you have a look at these forums you'll see advice given to people who've asked this question. Have a look.

    You will need a 2 stereo channel soundcard to enable you to output master and monitor channels. And a midi mixer to do all your mixing in the laptop. And that is all you need to start off really.
