I think your just unlucky if your system isn't good enough to run traktor properly ... it works perfectly for the majority of us wherever we play.... club... pub... festival.... bedroom..!
I am a mad and blinded traktor fan because it works perfectly for me and your only using serato coz you can't get traktor to work on your system.... says it all really.... you wish you could use TP2...!

You know what's funny, I could take my pick and go onto any software manufacturer's forum and read about people having issues.

We all know that Traktor works good for some and buggy for others.

So what that Serato won this year you can't win em all the time, but to play the Serato card and say it's because Traktor is buggy is just low.

Unfortunately, there are many blind traktor fans who will say it's perfect when the program stops for 5 minutes. Probably the same with fans serato. Open your eyes sometimes.

 When I get a questionable update I'm the first one to complain.

When I get a good update then I'm the first one to say it's all good.

Traktor for more than one year did not bring any major innovations, only fixes bugs and brought features that are standard in other software for many years.

I play alongside and even rent out dj equipment to serato djs. The truth is that most of them spin as if they were just playing on cdjs or vinyl, I haven't seen any of them doing anything special with their software other than pulling off tight a&b mixing with a sample drop here and there.

I don't do anything special with traktor either just the same thing I've been doing for the 15+ years.

I think it will be hard to replace traditional djing with extra gimmicks and features at lest not for another 5+years.

I never been a fan of DJ Mag.

But these awards means more selling. I wouldn't be surprise to see more Serato stuff this year, although I wouldn't mind much :
    - if the DJ is good, the DJ is good
    - too many douche DJ where I am to read da Internet

You can close your topic. If you don't understand this thread don't write it. Topic is about why serato won with traktor in 2011, and not about whether you prefer serato or traktor. simple ?

But Serato works with less problems. Last two updates from Traktor are just crappy, problems all the way and I am not the only one.
No advanced HID support for CDJ`s!

I dont care about the fancy effects of Traktor, a simple but working system is more important. I have enough effects on my mixers anyway.
I am also one who is thinking about a change to Serato as they recently make more for profesional applications.

NI is trying to push their plastic bombers called S4 and S2, forgetting that it would be important to support other users too.

I have moved to serato this week as i just mix on it and do not use any of the fx as theres enough for me on the djm's or sample player and was fed up of it crashing all the time, the crapy itunes intergration, the having to do the setup wizard everytime i changed from cdj 900s to 2000s or 400s and especially the lack of hid in the 900s and 2000s.

i had waited long enough for these problems to be fixed and NI not even replying to this was a big finger in the face to all of us who want a good piece of software for the ridiculous amount of money we pay

For people with good, solid computers and an understanding that having a full featured set like Tratkor takes a bit of education and user modification - there is no comparison.

If you are worried about bugs, simply DO NOT update Traktor on the day of the new release, give it a few weeks and you will find everything working and up to par.

Unless you are playing videos, I see no reason to even consider SSL. Serato is toy compared to a fully professional solution like Traktor. Not even on the same planet.

doesn't dj mag also think guetta or skrillex or deadmau5 or whomever of those regressive muppets is the world's best dj?
