I personally would go with the Xone 92. It's a beast that takes some time to learn but the end rewards is so fulfilling. If you're only playing Hip Hop, Rap I would go with the DJM 800.

I have a xone 92...but i kinda still wanna get a djm 800. The effects on the 800 to me are real handy. using the aux or send/recieve channels on the 92 are not really intuitive if your going to hook up external effects. Both are good. It depends on what you want out of it. Do you want clean analog sound or a bunch of features packed into one mixer?

If only they made the djm with 4 eqs instead of 3.....

I have owned both. I sold my 800 and got an Xone 92. The 800 effects are to cheesy.
I like Xones faders better there not stiff like the 800. I think Xone 92 + Kontrol X1 = The Sh!t.

The DJM 800 is not designed for playing hiphop, the faders a way to stiff.
For playing hiphop you get a batlle mixer like the DJM 909 or TTM 56.

The DJM 800 is good mixer with a good sound but I like the faders of the DJM 700 better.
That's the only minor on the DJM 800.
Personnally I like Pioneer's layout better.

    Here's something to read:

an 800 and a 92 are incredibly different from one another; like a screw driver and a hammer. both get the job done, but they do different jobs.

the 92 is an analogue beast, while the 800 is very much digital. both do things the other can't.

the 92's virtues are modular routing, incredible analogue sound, plus great eq and two multi-mode filters with lfo.

the 800 is the friendly effect mixer with great options for integrating other pioneer products.

guess which side of the fence i'm on.
