Any news on the mappings? I'm interested in a S11 mapping. Nearly finished one for my Seventy before I sold it, and bought myself an S11.

So... I currently own the Pioneer S7, and I use a S9 Map for traktror. I still have my X1 connected so this is the best I can do at the moment.
I do however have to ask, Does anyone have a Pioneer Djm-S7 Map for Traktor?

it's an absolutely strange idea to buy a mixer from pioneer and require the Traktor team to support a third-party product. Just open a recordbox or a serato and use it for your health, a problem created out of thin air.

This is forum of the TRAKTOR and its products, how can it relate to the products of other companies? A recordbox is suitable for using together with S7

Matt @ NI , I would close such topics if I were on you place. This is more like a hidden advertisement of competitors .
    Don't you think so?
Let's go together to the pioneer forum now and offer them support for Traktor S2, S4 mk3 and S8, a great idea)

Completely disagree. We are here to share our experiences and help each other. If someone would ask me how to set up a Z2 with Serato I would offer my help.

Almaz Scratch-E Con There is two aspects here if I'm not mistaken - asking for mapping and asking for a Traktor integration. Obviously asking for the latest is pointless since these products are clearly designed for other solutions (Serato in this case).
It's ok to have threads about serato integrated mixer, asking for help with mappings but they can't turn into a rant about TP integration (because again it will go nowhere).

    That is the mistake IMO.

Pioneer is the hardware club standard.

We are asking a software company to work with the the hardware club standard.

Ranting will lead to nowhere, I fully agree.

But saying that TP integration with 3rd party products "is pointless" and "will go nowhere"...that is not exactly what your user base (= paying customers) want to hear (understatement). And it will eventually hurt your business.

Well you're clearly taking this out of context. I said ranting about integration with products already integrated "by design" with another platform is pointless. I admit it might be a bit of harsh term. However, The DJM-S11 seems to be made specifically for Serato DJ by design and so an integration with Traktor is unlikely to happen (just my two cents anyway).

We could discuss integration all day with the hundreds of controllers out there but Traktor is not the only solution and Pioneer clearly does a lot with Serato. Again, happy to have discussions about that but rants about what other companies choose to do are far from productive imo. Almaz was right into saying that then you may as well just check directly with Pioneer why they chose to collab with Serato for the S11.

Matt, I appreciate your involvement in this topic and I am definitely not shooting the messenger here. But it would be a damn shame if Traktor (which in my opinion is still the best DJ software out there) was losing ground because of HW support limitations.

    Just my two cents anyway.

the most people here only asking for a proper mapping (e.g. replace the title of this thread with S7 or S9) and many of us would like to see something in this direction. the reason why we all ask for something like that is at your hands. what are the options for us? is it ok to hope for something like that?

-> a better or easier way to do own mappings for such hardware.

-> collaboration between Traktor and third party manufacturers, or like dj_estrela says: with the club standard. (and yes, he's right with that statement.)

-> or / better: something similar from NI like a Z2 MKII (for *uck sake!)

-> maybe: a clear communication. we all know that something is in the pipeline, but what? should i stay or should i go is a relevant question for many pros out there...

i already ask pioneer, reloop and many other companies, why they don't collab with Traktor and they every time have only one of this two answers:
"we asked NI, but they don't give us an answer" (they don't want to -> e.g. MWM Phase) or similar like here: no answer... yay...

there is obviously a huge lack of communication on every side. but we are users of Traktor and this is the reason, why we ask here first.

what is the next step? what should i do? jumping ships? go to a forum and ask for help? catch one of these rare moments, when Matt @ NI or somebody from NI is here to communicate with us?

most of these problems are homemade... sorry, but i'm sick of it!

Sorry in advance for hijacking this thread. It seems communication is the main aspect in a lot of threads and I'd love to hear more about your point of view. What is a clear communication to you? Or I can also phrase it like that: If you consider that a product team is likely not able to share hardware roadmap / long-term strategy, what type of communication would you like to see more of?

Full disclosure, I'm not in the Traktor team but work in the community team (lead the new space we're launching soon) and the reason I'm asking is to understand a bit better what is it exactly we can do.

Looks like we got a bit off topic however, I was just asking for a Pioneer DJM S7 mapping for traktor.
I use the S7 with Serato and I use that same mixer for Traktor.
Pioneer Dj mixers seem to be the industry standard, and I was just wondering if a DJM S7 map for Traktor is out there.
Having a DJM S7 map for traktor would be easier than switching out the S7 and placing the Z2.

it is very strange to see such statements about pioneer that it is the standard in the field of battle mixers. How are your words supported? Do you have statistics about this? It will be interesting to see this.
Based on those scratch DJs that I know myself, everyone uses different battle mixers, it can also be old pioneer mixers, mixers from Numark, Rane, reloop. And if we talk about the standard for scratching, then most likely it will be rain mixers. Rain is the standard, man)
