My next purchase is most likely going to be a Denon DN-SC2000 CDJ.

Can i scratch with the jogwheel if i'm using traktor pro 2 and not traktor scratch? Since it's all MIDI signals, I figured the scratching would work fine in the non-scratch version of traktor.

Are there any problems people have come across?

It's completely MIDI controllable and seems designed with traktor in mind. I plan to use 1 of them since I only use 2 decks.

I use a MPD26 custom mapping for extra effects and track/playlist browsing, cue points, beat jumping, but I see that SC2000 has most of these functions in a nice compact way plus the jogwheel is a great feature if you can scratch with it and scroll through tracks with it.

I'm impressed by the price and feature ratio of the SC2000, so I hope others have had good experiences.

Ah well thank you for the clarification. That's a good point about the CDs, didn't even occur to me but what is the main advantage of using CDs in a CDJ?

For me its no advantage..because u must have a Scratch license, and u must wired a lot of cable on the set ;-)

Imho the handling with timcecode is really near to a DJ with CD Players..but when i will play with tc, i want the feeling of vinyl ;-)

So i'm slightly confused now, but I can still scratch via MIDI control in traktor pro 2 with the SC2000, correct? Just want a confirmation on that before purchasing one. I have an MPD26 right now, but I think i'd like to sell it and get the SC2000 since it has cue points, browsing, jog wheel, pitch bend, effects, 2 deck control, shift button for extra/different deck cue points... it's really quite packed with features and seems made with traktor in mind, so it seems real legit especially for the price.

How do you like the size though? I read that it is a little small for some people, guess I should probably check one out in person.

Yes u can scratch with it ;-)

the size is OK....but be careful on the right side by the Pitch Fader...this is the really near by the Jog Wheel, but normally no problem!

the Standard Setting i quit good....and for this price u will nothing get better!

Yea seems like a steal. Pretty stoked to get it, much more portable and one of the biggest pros is that it has lots of LED feedback. The MPD26 is impossible to see all the little buttons if it's dark. It's also a lot bigger.

Thanks for the help man; i'm going to purchase one as soon as I get the cash. I think it's the perfect edition to my setup since i have a denon mixer as well... DNX600, love that mixer.
