    hi guys,
i`ve been using ableton for production for a while but want to start mixing again to find some lost inspiration.
i`ve decided to start using traktor as i don`t think ableton has the flexability that i want but am not sure which to buy. i want that ability to use four decks on screen at once but don`t scratch so was wondering if scratch pro comes with any other features that i`ll miss having if i buy the cheaper traktor pro?
while i am asking questions, as i`m not using time encoded cds or vinyl what midi controllers would you suggest?
i was thinking allen & heath xone gear, your opinions?

any ideas or suggestion would be greatly appreciated,
    thanks

If you are not using vinyl decks or CDJs then you don't need Traktor Scratch Pro. The feature set is the same apart from that.

I personally use a VCI-100 but mainly only play 2 decks (sometimes use 3&4 for track bouncing or playing samples). I am really happy with the VCI-100 (in conjunction with a Korg Nanopad). If I were you I'd wait until after NAMM 2010 because your dream controller may be announced.
