do not want traktor to import existing tracks already in collection!

have had a few problems with traktor recently, i was running traktor 1.2.7 with the original disc drivers (newer drivers just caused drop outs) for a long time with no probs until one night it wouldnt just drop out for a few seconds, the track would actually stop too.

i managed to reinstall to get it to them same versions but then got drop outs again so rolled back to the original disc version of traktor (2.0something). it then played without any drops outs although the interface was then very slow and would not do things like edit the track info like last played state etc.

my latency has always been very good when testing it and still is.

ive now installed 1.2.6 with the original disc drivers and going to see if it drops out or not tonight. in the meantime though, it seems to have cured the interface problems except for one - if i click to "import music folders" now to scan the folders and import any new ones, it goes and re-imports everything that has already been imported before - therefore duplicating everything in my track collection!

any ideas how to get around this or thoughts on my previous problems?

 

traktor does not import the same tunes from the same folder twice. Something else is going on here, maybe you actually have duplicate files or something.
