    Just wondering.

Since i've got my UC-17, i've been playing with the fader curve.

    how do you set yours?

I attempt quick cutting and blends mostly, im not really good at either..... yet.

so usually i set mine at about 1/2 way to 'hard'.

    (soft---------------------------^-------hard)

It depends what I'm playing. If I'm spinning House and breaks I set the curve harder. When I spin trance, progressive or chill I soften up quite a bit. Seems to work for me.

I set mine to soft 99% of the time. My hardware mixer is hard and I never enjoyed working with it much. The mixer in my old club had a way softer curve than traktor reproduces. I really miss it.

BTW, how do you change your curve mid-set? I assigned my uc-17 to a knob on the 2nd bank for xfader-curve... but when i alter it & flip back to page 1 on the controller, the knob I used for xfade curve on page 2 ends up ignoring the soft takeover and does a huge jump of values when I touch it. (its currently the high eq on the right deck, so that's a very bad thing).

Check out this thread and see if it makes sense in the context of what you are trying. Let me know I'm really interested in other experience to see if the problem I think I'm seeing real and reproducible.

Its not really bank programming Phil. Its just reassigning the knobs to different cc values. recall 02, twist knob, recall 01 twist knob produces a huge jump in values. There is no midi bank # or channel # switch. The uc-17 comes with 4 sets of cc controllers for the knobs in preset 01-04 for programs that learn midi cc values and i'm just trying to use the different sets for different functions with mediocre results. Like set 1 be mixer controls, and set 2 be misc controls, set 3 be filter controls...
