Does the quality of ones soundcard make a difference in the quality of the "rendered" or "recorded" soundfile(using the reaktor record module) in reaktor or host programs(like rendering a vst synth track to an audio track in cubase)?
I would have asked this on prorec.com , but i can not figure out if the site still exists(i have not been able to connect to site for the couple weeks i've been trying).Does anyone know what happened to prorec.com? I can not find any info at all as to weather it is still active or not.

It doesn't matter whenever the audio is not leaving the machine.

Thanks again, Jay. That's good news.

One way to test this, if you have more than one sound card available, is to process the audio with the different sound cards activated, then examine the results on a standard wave editor such as Audacity or Sound Forge.

I've never tried this myself but I have heard reports that, counterinuitive as it seems, the resulting .wav files may well show some differences.

Soundcards are not like graphics cards, they do not perform hardware acceleration. If they did, you'd see them advertise things like:

    512mb ddrIV 2.0ghz sdram
    6 trillion sinewaves per second
    and so on...

I was also thinking that i could try disabling the soundcard in device manager and see if i still get a recrding, but i don't know if reaktor needs a soundcard to function.I really want to know if the soundcard makes a difference for sure ,becuase i don't want to waste my time making a bunch of sub-par recordings until i get a decent soundcard (for the laptop i will be getting soon). If i get the time i will try what was suggested:compare recordings of 2 different soundcards on my desktop(which has both integrated audio and a 20bit Gina). Thanks again

The advantages of a good soundcard are:

Improved cpu performance and latency due to efficient ASIO drivers, and improved sound quality. If ASIO4ALL runs decently for you(esp. if you don't require ultra low latency), and your onboard converters sound reasonably OK, you shouldn't have a problem with your mixdowns because of it. I would, however, be the first to recommend getting a decent soundcard, even if it's not top of the line. I do however, guarantee, that it does not affect the quality of the rendered audio file.
