    Hi Mike,

I'm sorry that you're having issues with the new release, we tested it very thoroughly so it's not great to hear this news. We have found a couple of issues and are actively working to fix them, would you mind elaborating on what is going wrong for you, hopefully it's things we're aware of already and will fix an update very soon.

    Thanks,

    Toby

Maybe NI should consider having open beta's for Maschine and KK. With only a closed beta there are not enough different users to catch all the bugs.

    Hey Reefius,

This is something we have considered, but if we do switch to this model it won't happen over night. In the meantime if you or anyone else would like to be added send me a message and I'll sort it out.

    thanks,

    Toby

Dear Toby, order someone or throw it in the team to make this page up to date,

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/update-manager/

Then everyone can continue if a wrong update has been launched.
Now there are billions of studios lying flat :), because they cannot downgrade.
The solution is that simple, now someone who will carry out this simple assignment.

    René.

    Hi Toby,
thanks for your reply! first of all, i do agree with rene: update your legacy download site and make older versions available, e.g. to downgrade if an update doesn´t work on a system or so...
my main issue with 2.8.3: the pad mode with battery 4 isn´t working anymore. only pad 1 is randomly assigned with one specific sound -that´s it. normally there is a bass drum, pad2= snare, pad3=hi hats etc...also the naming in the display is missing...however, something interesting happend: maschine 2.8.3 now assigns those samples to my komplete mk1 instead...the keys light up in beatiful colors...but i can´t change to "keyboard" mode anymore...maybe 2.8.3 thinks that komplete mk1 is maschine mk3 :) actually, not funny...however, please get this bug (and all the others) fixed! I´d really appreciate it. and in the meantime, why don´t you let us reinstall 2.8.2 via native access?

    thanks!

something else: i just downgraded to 2.8.2 (thanks to rene), BUT still the same problem!? well, i also updated the maschine firmware and my komplete s61 at the same time...so, could it also be the firmware? or the new firmware having issues with the new maschine update?

    Hi Mike,

The reason we don't currently provide access to the old installers is because there are dependencies that are installed along with the main app. If you look at activity monitor you will see a couple of other NI processes running. When you downgrade by using the the old installer these dependencies are not overwritten because you are trying to install an older version and our installers don't support that. So at the moment you probably have version 2.8.2 of the app but the dependencies for version 2.8.3 and that can cause any number of issues. My advice to you would be to contact customer support as they will be able to walk you through the process of downgrading to 2.8.2.

As for your issue with battery 4 issue, I tried to reproduce it but for me 2.8.2 and 2.8.3 are behaving the same, which means my setup and yours must be different somehow. I would get in touch with customer support about this issue as well, they will be able to help you figure out a solution :)

    Thanks,

    Toby

    Hi Toby,
thanks for trying reproducing the issue...anyway, I haven´t got this problem anymore, since I updated (back) to 2.8.3 once more. I´m confused and can`t explain why...but sometimes it seems to be like this with technology :) glad to have some time for Massive X now!
    Thanks again,
    Michael

    Hi Everyone,
I also have a problem with the latest version 2.8.3. Some 3rd party plugins (tal-reverb) or NI Vintage Keys have stopped working (I'm using AU). I tried VST and it works but I need my presets from all projects.
Could you please send Maschine 2.8.2 version but for MAC ?

    I would be grateful.
    Thanks

Just want to inform you that I found installer on the support side.
For those who have the same problem I can confirm that it resolved the issue with AU plugins

Yes because I would do an open beta program, but not a closed one. I have the KK MK2, MK3, and Jam. I have the time now because I'm not doing any serious productions with it. I could learn a thing or two about it doing the beta.

    Hi Slappz,

I'm just curious why an open beta appeals to you more than a closed one? Our beta is not so closed really, if anyone would like to be added you just DM me and I'll take care of it.

I hope you will all be pleased to hear that we have already identified and fixed the AU bug and we will be rolling out the fix very soon, we just have to tidy up a couple of other bugs with the release first.

    Thanks,

    Toby

Toby @ NI I don't know I probably should try to join. I wouldn't be able to talk about certain things in a closed beta, that I would want to talk about in an open beta. I'm use to working with open-source development, and I'm one of the people pushing your company to open up more source. I have no problems working with cutting edge beta software. I'm actually trying to pick up a language now called Red, and it's still in an alpha stage. That's way above my pay grade.
I guess instead of sitting around here jabbing my jaw, I could actually work to help make the program better. I did tell myself that I wanted to master it when I bought the MK3, but then ended up getting the keyboard and Jam. I can't think of a better way to master Maschine, than beta testing it, so you may be on to something there. I have a couple development machines that I could run it on. It would be a honor for me to test out software for the company.
I suppose I will DM you on it, thanks for asking!

Thanks for your insightful response :) We would love to have you in the beta community. The topic of an open beta is something that we have briefly discussed but we still need to dive a bit deeper into, to really be able to make a call on it.

I look forward to hearing from you
