Drag and drop audio from arrange page (Logic)

Hi

I think it would be amazing if you could drag/drop audio from audio regions in Logic Pro - or any sequencer i guess.

It's so much easier to chop up samples with a big waveform zoom on the arrange page, rather than messing around with trying to zoom in with a tiny gui inside Kontakt 3. Then you can just drag them into Battery 3 and each region would map to a cell. Done!

I currently chop/sample loops with EXS24, because it supports this feature (drag to the EXS24 edit window and you're done in 20 secs). It's fine, i just don't get env control etc over each individual slice...

Anyway, i really hope this is possible and comes into play sometime soon

AND drug and drop between different battery instances. It is possible to use copy/cut-paste functions but I'd like to drug and drop

 

I agree. I do remember once being able to do this in Sonar, but after a while it stopped working, perhaps because of an update somewhere in the system.

If possible, this would be very nice.
