Is there a way to drag a group of sounds from machine into logic and have it go into different audio channels? Also, I've noticed when dragging midi files to different channels in to logic I cannot change parameters e.g. compression, EQ. Is there a way to also do this? Sorry if you've read this a thousand times

Just do Audio Export as separate sounds and drag those into Logic.

Even this doesn't work for me inside of Logic Pro. For some reason the exported audio is not 100% the same as the one inside the workstation. Not sound quality wise but the pattern (90% of the time) will not be the same and have odd flutters of other pads when the original sequence had nothing of that sort.

You have to be more specific but sounds like you may need to check Loop Optimize.

No, I have loop optimize checked. It plays the pattern completely differently than sequenced when drag/dropped the audio or exported. When I drag/drop MIDI, the pattern is 100% correct but when I do it as audio, for some reason, the pattern gets messed with and comes out A LOT different (pattern wise, not sonically)

A problem I have with using loops is I cannot get them to play one after another seamlessly, will loop optimise solve this?

Here are the same patterns, the first one drag/dropped by midi, the other dropped by audio. The patterns are exactly the same and when playing through the Maschine plugin, it sounds perfect but when I drag/drop all of a sudden it changes. I've tried changing octaves in pad mode, I've tried manually exporting it through file but the results are the same and loop optimize was checked. I am by no means new to production so this doesn't really hinder me as I have ways around it, but it's just odd that no one seems to be having this problem.

they are different pitches, which should not be the case.

are you sure you have set up the Sounds To MIDI Batch Setup correctly for the MIDI version?

could you repeat the same experiment but this time use one the kits that come with the Maschine Library and one of the Patterns that is there when you load the kit.

    cheers

I just tested it out with my Abbey Road drums and the midi/audio drop was fine. It may be because of the samples and how they overlap/trigger. When I chop up a sample, I put the transients in place and then press apply, but it's all on one sound instead of each sample spread out on 16 pads so I can multi-out. Do I have to drag/drop after chopping it up into individual sounds?

please check your manual as there is a description of how to map 16 slices across 16 Sounds in a different Group using Apply.

fwiw, you can do this using a Mouse in the Software or with your Controller, please check your manual.

right just tried again I've clicked loop optmisation and bounced the audio files then put them into logic, there is still a pause between at the end of the loop till the next one begins. If I could just get it to loop properly....

I set up the loop in maschine as an 8 bar it loops perfectly round and round in maschine but as I've said in logic there is a gap where all the last notes should be. What should I do?

    thanks for helping

what version of Maschine are you using and also which version of Logic.

and how big is the gap in Logic?

just to check are you using Drag n Drop Audio from maschine into Logic?

I'm using logic express 9, big maschine version 1.7.2. I'm bouncing the audio to WAV files then dragging them into logic. If you imagine 9 bars on logic the audio file finishes just before getting to the 9th. Iv also set the loop on maschine to 9 bar...

I do this by soloing individual sounds and then dragging and dropping.

That said, it's silly that you can't drag to multiple channels.

Ideally, I'd make a loop and drag and drop it, it would populate 16 channels (if I have 16 sounds) with each of the sounds individually.

You can drag all separate sounds of the entire arrangement or loop range from each group from Maschine to populate multiple tracks in a DAW by doing audio export. All the individual wav files will be in Maschine's Recordings folder (or any folder of your choice) ready to be dragged into a DAW.
