When I sustain a note or chord, moving a new draw-bars has no effect. I have to "re-trigger" the note with the draw-bar out, then when I move it it changes the sound.

Does anyone else have this experience?

    Thanx! :(

Its been a bug for a long time. I doubt NI will ever do anything about it.

They dont really need to. They just dont tell you about it, then you buy it,
    no problem. For them.

    Oooooo!

Are there any members here who can say if this was so in B4 and B4 II?

No. The B4/B4II sound changed with the drawbars in real time. So does the VB3 BTW.

So, there seems to be an issue with responding to controller messages, then; an issue which didn't exist before! :(

Vintage Organs are sampled organs. The B4 was modeled. Different approaches. I believe this is expected behavior.

Very good point, but im sure there is a way for the impulse of a depressed key, to be sent to all the draw-bars, so that when the draw-bar is pulled, the sample is already active. The draw-bar then acts as a volume control for the particular sample assigned to it. Incidentally, isn't the draw-bar a volume control, anyway?

I have always been curious as to why B4 was discontinued, anyway.

    This is not good.

Indeed there is. Uncheck the "Mute Inactive Drawbars" Option (Settings Page), that should do it.

    best,

    PERFECT! Thanx! *SIGH*

Question, though, how do I benefit from muting inactive draw-bars? Does it save me horse-power? :S

This is best answered in the Vintage Organ Manual on page 29:

I know this was completely unrelated to the drawbar question which i also found useful/interesting, but every since I bought this product, whenever I start my DAW, ableton live, it takes ages and says it's creating caches. Why would this be so. I have heaps of other plug ins in the DAW and suddenly this.

I only ask here because there don't seem to be many threads about vintages organs. f

    Thanks for any help.
