    Now im running on

Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1
    AMD Phenom(tm) 9950 Quad-core 2,60 GHz
    RAM 4GB

I just bought the Traktor Kontrol S4 and followed the instructions for installing the device carefully.

Everything seemed to work fine, i installed the drivers and updated them, and then connected the s4, It asks me to reboot again and so i did that.

After rebooting, i restart my s4 and it lights up and the USB-light blinkes. I wait a minute and nothing happens.

I was hoping for the message "Your hardware driver is now ready to use" or something like that.

So i started traktor and it doesnt find the device.

I look in device manager and find this

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I am changing to XP soon if i dont find a solution for this and im saving money for a macbook pro but i kinda wanna get on with this on what i have now.

Ive tried some Regedits like removing upper and lowerfilters, but im not very familiar with all that and not sure which ones to remove.

    Also i found this answer : http://www.ehow.com/how_5344400_fix-code-driver-error.html

    and this: http://www.ehow.com/how_6471625_fix-code-39-vista-64.html

The last one i tried but i dont have that option available :(

So any answers for this problem or are there anyone else that is experiencing this problem?
    ---
Well tried the second way to fix it, Didnt work :(

Tried it with all kinds of different orders to uninstall and install the drivers with rebooting in between using the method described in the second link.

Well well back to just producing and waiting for new drivers and save up for that Macbook pro.................

Sometimes some webcams can conflict with driver installs. Specifically logitech seems to have problems. Might check there. Outside of that you might contact support and see if there's any issues with your setup.

I dont have any webcams :)

Code 39 isnt that when microsoft doesnt approve of the driver? Isnt that somethin u should think about when making the driver for your produkt NI? ;) Whatever ima try it on a Windows 7 laptop tomorrow and see what happens, Then ima order a mac and w8 for new drivers ;)

I have contacted support. I will post the outcome of this asap. Still would appreciate answers from u guys.

    Thank you!

I'd bite the bullet and format ya laptop and start again then you can rule out all other conflicting issues that are'nt windows related.... i've also been told that plugging the controller in for the first time while connected to the internet has caused some people issues as some pc's tried to search for drivers on the net rather than looking at the ones installed on the disk.... good luck anyway..!
