Drums clipping issue

    Hello,

    I'm new to music production. Well, not that new but now trying to make things right for my band.

    I'm using Abbey Road Modern drummer in Repear, and the problem I have is that drums channel is clipping. I'm letting everything in modern drummer by default (white full kit, alternative rock).
    I don't know what is the best approach to solve this issue.

    If I lower down the volume of the channel in the DAW, then there is no more clipping, but drums volume is low. Compared to other channels which have higher volumes withtout clipping. I have another free plugin for drums to compare which has high volume and no clipping (almost none).
    I've tried to use compressor in drummer but I'm lost between single instruments and master compressor. And each time I've tried I've lost the "punchy" side of drums (especially concerning the snares).

    Any ideas, advise is welcome.
