have you not used maschine to sample? kinda pointless to have a sampler and not make your own drums don't ya think? sure there are plenty of sites out there to dl drums from but kinda takes away the creativity if you've never learned how to make your own (arguably the easiest part of sampling is making your own drums.)

With all due respect, if you only want "pre-rolled" drum and instrument sounds, Maschine is a poor investment for you. While it does have very useable sounds, sampling your own is essentially its mission by design.

With that said, and you really want ready-made kits, there are many virtual instruments that might suit you better...or perhaps a hardware piece like the Akai XR20, the Korg Electribe series, or one of the Roland MC-series "grooveboxes".

I would dissagree with Jeremy o. That though as maschine has more drum sounds than those units. Compounded by the fact u can always buy sample sets from companies like big fish audio I just would say the first step is to get ur own distinct sound by creating your own drums. But not hating to each his / her own. Just type free sample libraries into Google.
