is there a way to dump the click track on an entire mashine project to a separate file?

for example, i have a project and the song is made with 4 groups that lasts 5 minutes in total length. when i export to groups i will get 4 wav files. i is there a way to make a group with just the click track that spans the entire some and gets exported to a separate wav file in the end?

(I am doing by importing into cubase and doing it from there. but wondering if maybe there is a way to do it from maschine)

Your probably need a interface with loopback then
Resample it to a empty group , audio module, and load a pattern set to loop

You can route the click track to a new group and do another group export and you'll get 5 wav files....

Are you talking bout the metronome?
How do you route that ?

If you change the Output of "Cue" then the metronome will be in that Output, quite useful if you want to only hear the Metronome on the headphones only for example.

Resampling the Click is a big complication... Why dont you just download/make a Click/Metronome loop, and place it an Audio Module? Or turn it on on Cubase? Seems much more practical.

ok. i will try the cue thing tonight or tomorrow.

my challenge(s) are, I am collaborating with someone who one of those tascam digital recorders. he originally send me over the rough demo of the song and its strucktunes -- his acoustic guitar, vocal strumming to a click. i took that and structured an entire maschine song using that as a template. and send it back. he needs an entire wave file the exact same lenght as the other files of just the click so he can align his performnace.

Sounds like a hi-hat, rimshot or click at every quarter note would suffice, basically a disposable track you export separately just to be used as a reference to align things. Here, drop the metronome loop into a pad, it should autoload with the audio module and auto adjust to BPM.

yup, That's what I'm trying. I made a track called rhythm keeper with a very basic 2 on the floor. Kick, snare and hh. See how it goes.

what i did yesterday is i used your tutorial on midi mapping in cubase and just mapped the original count in i had. in the file i first sent, i had 2 bars of just a hi hat on 1/4 notes before the track starts so he could sync it up with what he had on his end. so i used the midi map thingy and in cubase just copy and pasted the thing over and over again and gave him that.

challenge. this is not really electronic music so it has a lot of swing in the tempo. so the straight click track starts to lose time after a verse or two and starts to get really badly out of time by end of 1st chorus. the only way to fix is is chop the wave file and nudge it.

Sounds like whoever you're playing with needs to get better about staying on beat :p "Swing" should not mean consistently off tempo...
