    Hi,

Continuation of this closed thread: https://www.native-instruments.com/...n-the-maschine-2-browser.455387/#post-2095449

I just wanted to point out that this issue is in fact because of some expansions including duplicate presets within their directories, for example the expansion "Astral Flutter" and "Spectrum Quake" both have the Massive preset named "Atlas" in their respective directories, they are identical, they both show up in the Maschine browser, there are many examples of this doubling up in the Maschine Browser, further examples of doubles in K13 are the Massive presets "220V", "Azido", "Babybasset Bass", "Bacon Strips", "Bassato" "Black Heart", "Blaster Master" and that isn't even all the B's doubled, quite possibly over a hundred doubles. In a large sound collection like Komplete, duplicates of this nature are an inconvenience in the workflow.

I was able to find these doubles from "Instruments" in the Maschine Browser, then I right-clicked the doubles in the software and selected "Find in Explorer" (Windows) and this shows the separate locations on storage.

    Thanks.

After thinking about this a bit, my next question is ... what happens if I delete these duplicate presets out of the expansion folders so that I just keep 1 version in the factory location? will this cause functional issues?

AFAIK there is no BOM (Bill Of Material) for Expansions which is read by Maschine, so wouldn’t expect any issues, but they might be reinstalled on an update.

How about moving one of these out of the folder, do a full rescan and see what happens?
