    Hi,

I'm trying to duplicate pads with events by activating the +event on the MKII controller and it works when I copy the pad to another pad in the same group, but it doesnt work when I copy the pad on a pad which is in another group (its copying only the sound and its parameters, as if the +event button was not activated).
    This is quite disturbing.

Am I alone to be affected by this ?

What's happening is the empty group you are targeting does not have a pattern loaded. If you hold the record button for a couple seconds it will load pattern 1 and you will see the events are there.

No, The group I am copying into is not empty at all, it has several patterns and already events on other pads. I thought it was the pattern lenght not corresponding but adjusting it didnt do anything. Maybe I could do a video of this :D

How ok I just understood... It copy the pattern on pattern 1, not in the current pattern

Yeah, it makes no sense to me why it does this. I really don't see why it needs to paste specific to the pattern slot. It should just paste to the current pattern regardless. If there is no pattern loaded then it should load the pattern it pasted to. Needs work imo. Right now you can't paste events from one group to another unless the same pattern happens to be loaded.

I think I see what is going on here. The duplicate is really based on duplicating a whole group, including the order of patterns. They seem to be just taking one pad out of the group and pasting everything from the other group on that pad as is. It is pasting all events across all patterns in that group for that pad. So if that pad has events across multiple patterns then it will paste all patterns from the source group in order and lay them out on the new group.

The only way I see to do it is to use a combination of duplicate and event copy.

First, turn off the +events in duplicate mode. Press select and choose events. Then tap the pad you want to copy to select all events on that pad. shift+pad 11 for copy. Now use duplicate to duplicate the sound to the other group. Then paste.

Not ideal imo. Really not setup to duplicate sounds with events across groups in the way you would expect.

Yes, thats exactly what I just figured out while trying to understand what was copying where. Totally fucked up :D
By experimenting I ended up with 2 pages of patterns on my new groups without really understanding the ligical behind it.
the good point is when I hit play, it plays all the patterns together as if the sounds where not moved, which was kind of surprising.
But yeah, the duplicate + copy/paste seems to be the less bizarre option :p
