Dynamics knob in Symphony Series - how to control and record automation?

    Hi guys. I am a Komplete 12 Collector's Edition owner and Komplete Kontrol Mk2 user. The question is concerning Symphony Series Library for Kontakt. Let's take the Brass Ensemble as an example. The question is, how can I record the turnings of the Dynamics knob? The knob is active, I mean, you can tweak it with a mouse on the computer screen. But my host (Studio One 4) does not "see" this as a parameter to make it possible to automate. And, what is more surprising, there is no way to control it from the Komplete Kontrol controller! Any solution to that? Thanks.

    The mod wheel controls the dynamics.

    If you don't mind me asking, how are you finding it with Studio One? I loved Studio One but had to sell it and go back to Cubase as I found my Komplete Kontrol keyboards (MK1 and MK2) a nightmare at integrating with it. If they've improved it I'd go back.

    Actually your worst expectations are true - there is no way of mapping it at all. Some knobs and buttons work only if you are using Komplete Kontrol (the ones that actually relate to controlling Komplete). I can't even map the transport buttons! You don't see any MIDI incoming messages when you activate "MIDI learn" function in S1. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but then I read on this forum that S1 and KK MK2 are incompatible. I hope, the NI or Presonus (I don't know who it depends on) will work at it soon. But, even despite some disfunctions, I can't help stopping enjoing my new keyboard. My previous MIDI keyboard was CME M-Key V2. So, switching from it to Komplete Kontrol with 88 Fatar keys is like chalk and cheese!

    Thank you for your reply.
    Yeah, I have the S88 - it is splendid. Do most of my work on the S61 though.
    The 'thing' that I really couldn't get along with on Studio One was having to manually set the instance on the keyboard for each track on the DAW. What an utter waste of time when you're wanting to get on with stuff! So it was changing the track on the DAW then changing the track on the keyboard too!!!
    I really hope NI and Presonus get their acts together as it would be a killer combination. I do like Cubase, but love Studio One.
    Cubase Pro 10 has just launched, I hoped it would have the layering instruments on a single track that Studio One does so well. Nope. It doesn't. :(
    Anyway.
    Good chat. Happy composing.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
