    Hi,

    I think it would be really effective to have an effect that "ducked" the volume in time with the beat like a sidechain compressor. You could increase the amount of ducking using the fx parameter.

    With this you could mix in your new track with this fx on and it wouldnt have a kick as it would be ducked out, then you could slowly reduce the effect.

    Does that make sense?

    I think this is a great idea, I think various requests for different types of compressor have been made before, but you could use this one for all sorts of cool effects if it was linked to the BPM

    Another useful way would be to use another deck as the sidechain... when the feeding deck bass pumps, the affected one could be ducked...

    im not sure having it use another deck as the sidechain source would work as well, as you would have less control over it. also you only really want a kick to be doing the side chaining or it would sound weird.

    Also if it was just a tempo based effect (pretty much just autopan for volume) you could make your own breakdowns to some extent by cancelling out your tracks kick drum
