Forgive me if this has been mentioned before or if I am missing something. It would be really nice to be able to bypass ALL effects from all pages in FM8 like with the Arp. Seems simple enough to do and would improve work-flow. I would like to be able to hear just the raw sound whilst auditioning sounds from the browser.

    Welcome =)

    ?

Just either shut them off or save a user template with no effects loaded.

Still it would be nice if there were a global EFX bypass that could be accessed from the Browser and the other windows so that you could hear the raw sounds (without efx) as you audition them. That is entirely different from going in to the efx page and choosing init. Am I missing something? Thanks!

    To ryken75:

    I agree with you 100%
A universal bypass button would be very useful, to switch the Effects section on/off in total.

You have all these steps now:
1 - Go to Effects page
2 - Switch off each effect (lots of clicks)
    3 - Listen
4 - Switch each effect back on (lots of clicks)

    or
1 - Go to Effects page
2 - Save the whole setup as a template for recall
3 - Load the blank user template as EW suggested
    4 - Listen
5 - Load your user template again

    As opposed to
1 - Hit Bypass FX button
    2 - Listen
3 - Hit Bypass FX button

Maybe when NI releases one of their frequent updates (in 2015?)

The effects amount control appears on both the Effects and the Easy/Morph pages. It acts as a global effects level, so nice n easy to turn down and back up to 100% where it usually resides.

Why not go a stage further and midi learn a knob or slider if you have a controller board, or be really daring and learn a switch that will have the value jumping between 0 - 100%?
