Confirm you are running Maschine 1.8.2 and you've run Maschine in standalone?

anyone else noticed the massive presets arnt catogrized as they should be..you click on electric vibe and theres nothing, bass, nothing, leads, nothing, pads, nothing then you click on massive presets and there all there bunched up..it needs fixing.

i had a quick go of it in massive and the kits are good and if you have drop squad they go together very very well..ill try and do a quick demo of some of the sounds this week..

i hope they do a gangnam style pack in the future :)

it is usually installed in your 'Shared' folder.

in Maschine's Preferences do a 'Rescan' of your Libraries.

beware, this can take quite a few minutes

I don't know, it's only 2 so far and this one is technically electro house. If you compare that to the amount of hip hop orientated expansions that have been released...

I have no idea why dubstep is so popular, its awful. And NI including it even in this pack, is doing nothing but putting me of otherwise potetial purchases.

Clearly a vast portion of the world disagrees with you, what the hell are they thinking?

lol No idea, maybe the vast portion of the world are tone death or have no taste. But NI did a great pack for Dubstep in the last one, more or less, why have it in this Electro one too?

Electro house and "Brostep" have been sharing sounds and samples for a long time now. Even other genres have been adopting the drums and bass/lead sounds such as DnB and Glitch Hop. They all fall under an "over genre" (as opposed to a sub genre) called Bass Music...

Thanks for that little bit of education, money is in the post. lol

I'm sure if I did buy this pack, I could of course stay clear of the parts I dont like, and make good use of the other. So I may still purchase this one, as Electro is my likeing. :D

ok i see Electric Vice in the shared folder along with all my other NI libraries. i even copied the whole 'EV' into the Maschine library and still nothing. WTF CHUCK! but i wonder if having the Maschine hardware connected(or disconnected [or connected while installing and then unplugged it halfway through cuz i thought i had to have it disconnected in order to install]) affect any part of the installation process?
    ---
BTW i even tried to open a project on its own even a sound, one shot,sample.etc., and it kept telling me "Error loading sound file...the file is not a sound file" ? i need the Jesus of NI to help me please!

ok im sorry i thought i had them installed but severely realized i didnt as i've said i am new to this so im a really trying my best. i NOW have all the updates installed and now see the 'EV' library and is fully functional im sorry. Now,however, i have a new problem. i have the Komplete 8 and obviously installed all the updates but now Maschine wont load any of the sounds saying "plug-in not found.....please check the plug-in path in the Maschine preferences and rescan plug-ins" WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? ALLAH-HU AKBAR!

It means what it means. Check your plugin paths in the Maschine preferences point to where your plugins actually are, then rescan your plugins. ;)

A couple beers and a rant seems like a good idea: I die a little inside each time I hear the word "Brostep". Yet, I have to remember how popular this genre is and admit that the kids need their own thing and NI needs money. I'm starting to feel like an old man thinking "TURN THAT NOISE DOWN!" and I'm not all that old at all. I listen to almost every genre out there from classical to industrial, all sorts of electronica, rap, even country - but I don't like much of the 'new' offerings in electronica with the word 'step' in the name. To me much of it sounds like self replicating crap with a focus on superficial twitch instead of careful soul and seems to lack any production finesse or depth. Most of the bass and synth sounds I hear are overused and annoying, and evidence of producers who can not program a synthesizer for themselves. I feel bad for the original founders of these 'step' genres who may have been passing through viable musical territory that is now beaten and lacking potency. I have to admit I have heard 3, maybe four 'step' tunes that I liked. I'm still always open minded despite the odds.

All that said, we get it, I don't like the step - I wonder what MY favorite music sounds like to people who don't like it? Maybe just as crap?

Bottom line is NI is a business, and is going to cater to the market that exists. I push myself to let people have their space and time and do what they do- I'm sure not everyone dug Transistor Punch at all but I'm sure glad NI put it out. So I really don't mind this expansion, I just won't buy it.

    Beers. Get yourself some.
