I recently changed the name of the hard drive that my NI sounds are located(will never do that again), and have changed the directory path for all of my Komplete IV software without any trouble except for Elektrik Piano. When I open the software, it says it cannot open the content file. When I go to select a different directory, I see everything in my Sample Libraries folder, but nothing is highlighted. Do I need to do a reinstall or is there an easier fix?

    Thanks,

    Mike

There's a screenshot of my OSX EP library (I think XP is the same) folder in the following thread. If yours doesn't currently have the same structure, and you can track everything down and achieve the same structure, then you shouldn't need to reinstall. I've moved EP's lib folder and repointed several times without problems.

However if you've already got the correct structure, but EP isn't dealing, then I guess renaming your drive has been too much for it to cope with and you might have to reinstall.

People seem to have had even more trouble on this score with AP, NI's install process and handling of preference data through updates doesn't seem to be very forgiving of anything slightly out of the ordinary.

    Getting worn out on this

I have completely reinstalled Elektrik Piano, made sure that everything named Elektrik Piano previously on my computer was removed, reactivated the software, and it still tells me it cannot find open the content file! When I check the directory path, the file ElektrikPiano_Lib_part1.nks is sitting right there...unhighlited. It doesn't see it for some reason. Any ideas? I've sent a message to tech support.

That's not the proper path. The proper path is one level up from that (the Elektrik Piano library folder). With the path you have, the instruments themselves and the other two .nks files aren't included.

Change the path to the library folder, close EP and reboot. Done.

Might this be related to my problem?

I'm trying to install, but disc 2 installer won't install because it says it can't find an installation of akoustik piano (from disc one, which was of course installed.) I even tried registering it before continuing with disc 2, that didn't help.

I have not been able to even hear this software yet. What do I do?

Messaged tech a week ago, and nothing.

Ah. I'm on akoustik piano, however..
